Tim began his law enforcement career with the St Louis Metro Police Department

working as a street cop in what is notoriously one of the most violent cities in the western world. He earned awards for Top Firearms, Top Academic, and Best Overall Officer in the Academy, and numerous commendations once on the street.  Tim  later became an FBI Agent and was a Certified FBI Firearms and Tactical Instructor, Rappel Master, and SWAT Team Leader. He has trained thousands of local, state, and federal law enforcement officers, military personnel, and civilians domestically and abroad on a wide array of firearms systems and a broad spectrum of combat tactics, including CQB, aircraft and other hijackings, hostage rescue, and active shooter scenarios, and is an internationally recognized subject matter expert, speaker. and on-air personality on crime, domestic and international terrorism, and national security matters, appearing regularly on CNN, Fox News, NBC, ABC. and other media outlets.

Tim Jr has been an avid firearms enthusiast, and highly skilled shooter since he was a pre-teen. Four years as an 0311 Infantryman in the Marine corps, including as an Expert Marksman and the Designated Marksman for his platoon, allowed him to hone the shooting skills he learned from his father on their home range, while gaining enhanced tactical and combat training.

Tim Jr is XOverland Ranch's Training Director, overseeing the armory, Firearms Ranges, The Combat Tactics Course, and all related facilities, as well as handling all range and training scheduling and operations. Tim Jr 's prowess on the Combat Tactics Course is unparalleled.

Ty Heaps -

XO's Ranch Manager's experience with Expedition Overland Is legendary.  Before joining our team for "Season Zero," Ty served in the Marine Corps where he was in charge of armored convoys. Not surprisingly, Ty's primary role while overlanding was managing security in places like the Yukon, Mexico, Central America, and South America.

Today, Ty owns and operates his own real estate brokerage in Montana (sagelandco.com) and looks after his wife and three children. A leader in the United States Armed Services, a valued team member of Expedition Overland, and XOverland Ranch, a coach, and a business owner, Ty knows a lot about working with people and considers the ability to build relationships and work within group dynamics to be one of life's greatest rewards.

Ken began his career as a US Air Force Special Operations Pararescuemen (PJ), where he

was a Tier One tactical operator and a highly trained paramedic. After 14 vears of service Ken then transitioned to a paramilitary operator for the US intelligence community. Ken was also a 6-time participant in Mark Burnett's Eco-Challenge races. where his team was the

featured winning team of the Alaska armed forces race in 2016.  Ken co-hosted the National Geographic 6-part series "Missing Dial," putting his real world tactical and survival training to use onscreen. Ken has worked as a stunt pertormer and rigger on

shows such as Seal Team, Westworld, Agents of SHIELD, Criminal Minds, and many more. Ken is currently based in Livingston. Montana

 Dr John Seifert -

Dr. John Seifert is a professor in the Department of Kinesiology at Montana State

University in Bozeman,

Montana where he teaches exercise physiology and

environmental physiology. Dr. Seifert has also worked as a consultant for numerous outdoor and sporting goods companies over the last 35 years, focused on the area of applied research and development, assessing both physiological and bio-mechanical

responses to various equipment designs, training program evaluation,

hydration/rehyaration research, the biomechanical factors in shooting performance, and the influence of outdoor equipment weight on energy expenditure and performance.

De Jim Knight-

Dr. Jim Knight has been a Wildlife Biologist for 50 years, and was Professor and Extension Wildlife Specialist at two western universities for over 30 vears. Dr. Knight, who is currently Professor Emeritus at Montana State University, developed the Hunting Curriculum for the National 4-H Shooting Sports program and designed, tested, and

implemented curriculum and field strategies to teach vouth hunting skills and train 4-H leaders who now teach youth in all 50 states.  He has conducted numerous workshops on predator hunting, trapping, elk hunting and wilderness survival, and has published over 200 refereed and reviewed professional papers and over 1000 popular articles dealing with hunting and wildlife management.
